Our take
I added the MV-400 to my rig and it quickly became a favorite. The RGBW color mixing is smooth, and the matrix wash covers a wide area. The automated pan is responsive, but the manual tilt is a letdown—you have to set it manually before a show. The built-in display is clear and makes DMX programming easy. The unit is solid but heavy; the included bracket feels sturdy. The fan is a bit loud, but that's common with moving heads. For the price, it's a great value if you need a bright wash with pan movement. Just be prepared to deal with the manual tilt limitation.
