Our take
For a budget amp, the Rockville RPA9 gets the job done in my small PA rig. 800W RMS is enough for moderate-sized venues, and the built-in crossover helps direct frequencies properly. The rack-mountable chassis fits standard racks, but the overall build feels a bit lightweight. I noticed some hiss at idle, and the fan kicks in more often than I'd like. No XLR inputs here, which is a bummer—just RCA and 1/4-inch. Still, at under $185, it's a cost-effective option for beginners.
